Next cohort begins [Date]. Limited to 16 participants to ensure personalized coaching.
We're looking for experienced sexual health educators, school health teachers, counselors, community leaders, peer educators, college health professionals, and anyone passionate about sex-positive, trauma-informed education. You should have some basic facilitation experience (or be willing to co-facilitate with a mentor) and a genuine commitment to our core HARNESS principles.
Yes, completing the full Fearless, Aware, & Protected curriculum (self-paced, approximately 8 hours) is a pre-requirement. This ensures you understand the participant experience and can embody our philosophy authentically. You'll also submit a 2-page reflection on your own protection journey.
Day 1 focuses on becoming the facilitatorโyou'll learn trauma-informed language, the MATCH framework, and co-teach the first two modules. Day 2 dives into consent, boundaries, and negotiation with role-plays and live practice. Day 3 brings it all together: you'll deliver a 45-60 minute practicum segment in front of peers and trainers, receive feedback using the FAP Rubric, and earn your certification.
Absolutely. Upon completing all requirements (85+ on the rubric, signed Code of Ethics, and a recorded 20-minute micro-session from your first real workshop), you'll receive a "Certified HARNESS Fearless Facilitator" certificate. This is recognized across schools, universities, health centers, and community organizations delivering sex-positive education.
Yes! We highly recommend co-facilitating with a mentor for your first workshop or two. The TTT program is designed to prepare you for this, and we provide coaching and support. Many certified facilitators work in pairs, which actually creates richer experiences for participants. There's no pressure to go solo right away.
Yes, our Trainer Code of Ethics requires annual continuing education. Sexual health research evolves, and we expect certified facilitators to stay current. This might include attending webinars, reading new research, or taking workshops on emerging topics. We provide resources and support to make this easy.
The 3-day intensive is best delivered in-person or hybrid for maximum connection and embodied learning (lots of role-plays and rituals). The 30-day virtual follow-up can be fully online. Let us know your preference when you applyโwe'll work with you to make it accessible.
